Who doesn’t love a good salad bar? I wish more places had these because of the options for a healthy quick lunch. Many have a variety of pre-made pasta salads etc. that can be good for last minute get togethers. One of my favorites is at Philbrick’s Fresh Market – Portsmouth. It is always fresh and had yummy soups as well (there is nothing worse than a salad bar that is all wilted and looks old).
The salad bar at Whole Foods is also pretty amazing. Since it can be a little pricey, I wanted to share 12 Ways Not To Spend Your Entire Life Savings At The Whole Foods Salad Bar. This article has some great tips so you don’t panic when you get to the checkout. Also check out your local Whole Foods to see their daily specials.
My salad today (pictured): Romaine, mixed greens, bell peppers, onion, shredded carrot, garbanzo beans, broccoli, artichoke hearts, walnuts, feta & a small scoop of chicken salad (balsamic vinaigrette on the side).
I do miss Souplantation in California!
