Living in San Diego, you don’t really get the seasons like you do in New England. It is still pushing 90 degrees there this month, which is very different than the blustery fall weather we are getting here. Though I am a beach bum at heart, I did miss boots, scarves and cozy sweaters. It is fun breaking out the other half of my wardrobe, so I wanted to share a few of my favorite items this fall:
Made in Charleston, SC, these candles are in wine bottles that are cut by hand. They come in your favorite wine varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot. My favorite is the Chardonnay with warm notes of vanilla and burnt toast, hazelnut and cedarwood undertones. Perfect for a rainy fall evening when it gets dark at 4:30p! Check out the fun blog on their site too.
It can be hard to find a navy that isn’t too blue, but isn’t so dark you can’t tell that it IS actually blue. Eurso Euro (from the 2013 collection) is perfect.
3. Toms Desert Wedge in Herringbone
These just came in the mail and I couldn’t wait to wear them. Comfortable, perfect for fall weather and can be dressed up or dressed down. Their One for One makes this a win/win.
Flannels and plaids aren’t just for your dad anymore. Great for layering and the quality at LLBean can’t be beat; plus they offer a lifetime warranty so no worries if you wear a hole in it. Their Wicked Good slippers aren’t so bad either.
5. New Hampshire Made Knits by plancknits on Etsy
Loving the cute fall accessories that Caitlin from Plan C Knits is coming out with this season. All orders are handmade and can be customized. I have been eyeing one of her headbands for weeks now and need to place my order!
6. Stove popped popcorn (Recipe here!)
The microwave stuff just doesn’t do it for me anymore. Making your popcorn on the stove is almost just as easy, super healthy and can be customized depending on what you are in the mood for (sweet, savory, spicy?)
What are your fall favorites? Stay cozy!
