I absolutely love pizza and I love Trader Joe’s. It only makes sense that TJs would have some perfect ingredients for an amazing pizza, right? Not that this pizza is anything fancy, but I wanted to share the specific ingredients that I used. I am working on a list of my TJs favorite items that I will post soon, but here are some highlights for now.
Ingredients:
Crust (For this I used Target’s Archer Farms brand Ultra Thin & Crispy crusts. Two come in a package and it is super thin; like a tortilla–this is the only non-Trader’s item, I promise)
Trader Giotto’s Bruschetta – Seriously, the best stuff ever. You can find it near the hummus and it is amazing as an appetizer on sliced baguette, in pasta or in pizza! It really does have the BEST flavor.
Mozzarella – I used the Trader Giotto’s mozzarella for $3.99.
Basil – I love the basil plants at TJs; they are HUGE and are around $3.00. Such a steal!
Balsamic Glaze
Salt & Pepper
You really can use any crust for this. I am a fan of the Trader Joe’s herb or wheat dough, but I didn’t go that route this time. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Put your thin crust onto a pizza stone, or pizza rack/pan. Spoon a few scoops of bruschetta, cut your fresh basil & mozzarella and spread evenly on crust. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, if desired. Bake for 10 minutes.
Once you take out of the oven, drizzle your balsamic glaze on pizza and slice with pizza cutter. Enjoy! Such an easy and delicious dinner.
