Restaurant Week Day One: Fish Market

Restaurant week in San Diego is happening right now so tonight, Jenn and I decided to try The Fish Market – San Diego, CA downtown by the water.  I am a sucker for a place with a view!  There was a three course meal for $30 and we sat outside on the beautiful patio.  For an appetizer I got the crab cakes (the waiter talked me out of the wedge salad because he said I wasn’t getting my moneys worth!) and for the main course I got a crispy honey mustard talapia with mango salsa.  I have definitely been expanding my taste buds to fish lately!

For dessert we split chocolate mousse and strawberries with whipped cream—I thought it was kind of odd that strawberries were offered for the dessert, but we were full and it was light so that it what we went with.  I am happy that I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow!  I have another RW girl date tomorrow night so stay tuned!
